List WooCommerce products

Module · Stable

Products matching a name search, an exact SKU, a category or a stock state — what’s available, what’s out.

Reads a filtered list of products out of the connected shop: free-text search over names, an exact SKU, a category, and a stock state (in stock, out of stock, on backorder). Search and SKU are different questions and the shop keeps them apart — a name search never looks at product codes, so a part number the customer quoted has to go in the sku field or it matches nothing. Category is a third question again, and the one that answers fitment: a shop files a part under the machine it fits, and that never appears in the product’s title. Each result carries SKU, name, price, stock quantity, the categories it sits in, an excerpt of the product’s own description (cleaned of the shop’s page-builder markup), and the product page link. Each result also carries availability — whether the business still SELLS it (available, temporarily_unavailable, discontinued, unknown), which is a different question from whether one is on the shelf today. It reads the shop’s own stock-state convention, declared by an admin under Settings, and stays unknown until it is: do not offer a product whose availability is discontinued, and do not infer that one is discontinued from an empty shelf. This is the plural counterpart to Check WooCommerce stock — that one answers ‘can they buy this exact SKU?’, this one answers ‘what do we have that matches?’. Read-only, and it does not page: has_more tells you the limit was reached.

When the customer describes a part rather than naming its code — search the catalogue and offer what matches. When they do quote a code — off an invoice or a packing list — put it in sku rather than search, which would return nothing and read like the part not existing. Also for stock sweeps: everything currently out of stock, so a scheduled flow can flag what to reorder or what a reply should stop promising.

Not when a known SKU is the whole question — Check WooCommerce stock answers that directly and, unlike an empty list here, tells an unknown code apart from an empty shelf. The sku filter on this step is for combining a code with other filters, not for replacing that check. And a text SEARCH is not a fitment check: matching a product name tells you it exists, not that it fits the customer’s machine. For fitment use the category filter, or the workspace catalogue’s own fitment facet — a brand-wide part like ‘TRACTIVE SUSPENSION for CFMOTO’ can never match a model-name search, and an empty result there reads exactly like ‘we don’t sell it’. And not for a question about what one product contains: the description here is an EXCERPT, and when description_truncated is true, not finding something in it is not evidence the product lacks it — Check WooCommerce stock carries the whole description for a single product.

Configured per use: search, sku, category, stock_status, description_chars, limit.
