Web Search
Module · Stable
Search the web via the Brave Search API and return a list of results.
Calls the Brave Search API with the workspace’s own key, connected under Settings → Integrations → Brave Search. Returns up to 20 results as a list of {title, url, description} dicts. Use freshness: pw to limit to the past week. Calls are paced to about one a second and counted against a monthly allowance; when that is spent the step returns rate_limited rather than an error, because the query was fine and will work later. Pair it with HTTP Fetch to read the page behind a result, or with Ask AI to summarise.
When to use
Section titled “When to use”Use when a workflow needs live, public web information — for example a query string built by Format or supplied via a trigger — and the raw list of {title, url, description} results will feed into Ask AI to produce a summary or a Send step to deliver findings.
When not to use
Section titled “When not to use”If you need to fetch a specific known URL, use HTTP Fetch instead. If you only need structured data already inside Routario (contacts, deals, tasks), query those directly via Find Contact, List Deals, or List Tasks — a web search adds latency and costs API quota for internal lookups.
Inputs
Section titled “Inputs”Configured per use: query, count, freshness.
Outputs
