Read EU funding calls
Module · Stable
Read the EU Funding & Tenders portal: open and forthcoming calls for proposals and the EU institutions’ own tenders, with what one grant is worth.
One official feed carries every EU call for proposals and every call for tender the EU institutions publish. This step reads it and keeps the ones your terms match, each with its identifier, programme, status, opening date, deadline, type of action, a plain-text summary and a link a person can open. The field that decides whether a call is worth reading at all is max_grant_eur — what ONE grant is worth, which the portal buries inside a budget blob — together with expected_grants. A call that states no figure comes back with none rather than a zero, and is kept, because the smaller instruments often state nothing. Every call carries a stable source_key, so rows keyed on it update as the call moves from forthcoming to open to closed.
When to use
Section titled “When to use”Use weekly to watch for funding you could actually take: set max_grant_eur to the size of thing you can deliver and the feed stops being a wall of consortium topics. Follow it with a classifying step on the summary and Create record keyed on source_key.
When not to use
Section titled “When not to use”It does not carry the small lump-sum calls that EU-funded projects hand out themselves — ‘cascade funding’ or ‘financial support to third parties’, typically 40 000 to 200 000 EUR for one company. Those are published on each project’s own site and are in no API. For Czech public contracts use Read the contracts register; for Czech tenders, Read public tenders.
