Create Lead
Module · Stable
A lead in one go: the company, the person and the deal, each matched to what already exists before anything is made.
Takes a lead the way a colleague in sales would hand it over — a company, the person there and what the opportunity is — and makes only what does not exist yet. The company is matched by domain, then by name (legal form ignored); the person by e-mail; the deal by company and deal name. A person with no e-mail, or an e-mail nobody has, whose name another contact already carries is LEFT OFF rather than merged into that contact — two people can share a name — and the output says so. An existing deal is reported as matched and not changed. Each part comes back as {status: matched | new | left_off | none, name, id, why}, with a one-line-per-part summary. dry_run=true writes nothing and returns the same plan, so it can be shown and confirmed first.
When to use
Section titled “When to use”Use to add a new prospect from an e-mail signature, a LinkedIn profile, a meeting or an intro — instead of Create Company, Create Contact and Create Deal one after another. Call it with dry_run=true first when the lead might already exist, show the summary, then call it again without dry_run.
When not to use
Section titled “When not to use”To change an existing deal, use Update Deal or Move Deal Stage — this never edits one. To add a second person to a deal that exists, use Add Deal Stakeholder.
Inputs
Section titled “Inputs”Configured per use: company_name, company_domain, person_name, person_email, deal_name, stage_name, value_amount, value_monthly, value_currency, expected_close_date, source, note, owner, dry_run.
Outputs
