Read official noticeboards

Module · Stable

Read the workspace’s watchlist of municipal official noticeboards and return the notices whose titles match what you are watching for, each with its document stored in Memory.

A Czech municipality must publish every decision it makes on its official noticeboard (úřední deska), and publishes that same board as open data under the national OFN standard — so the board is a feed, not a website to scrape. This step reads every board on the workspace watchlist (Settings, not per-flow: every flow reading boards should read the same ones), keeps the notices whose title contains one of your topic words AND one of your action words, and downloads each kept notice’s first attachment into Memory — and when a board publishes no attachment in the feed at all, looks for it on the page the notice points at. Matching ignores accents and case, so word stems work across Czech declension. Every notice carries a stable source_key, so writing rows keyed on it makes a re-run update rather than duplicate. A board that cannot be read is reported by name in failures — never silently skipped, because a moved endpoint otherwise looks exactly like a quiet week.

Use on a schedule to watch for something an authority has to announce publicly — a building permit proceeding, a land sale, a zoning change. Follow it with a Map step over notices, an Extract step on each document_ref to read the notice’s own facts — the cz_building_permit recipe is written for exactly these documents — and Create record with source_key as the upsert key. Weekly is usually enough for a permit: most boards serve a notice for two to four weeks, though several keep years of history, so set a posting-date window once the first run has caught up.

It does not tell you what a notice SAYS — the title alone is only roughly 5-10% precise, so pair it with Extract rather than acting on a title match. For a specific company’s registry facts use Look up a business. To fetch one known URL, use HTTP Fetch.

Configured per use: topic_terms, action_terms, exclude_terms, posted_within_days, since, limit, fetch_documents, max_documents, follow_notice_page, boards.
