Create Chart
Module · Stable
Make a chart over one table — any shape the chart editor offers, from bars to a price range.
Creates one saved chart. Pick the shape by the question it answers — each shape’s description says when to use it and what the table needs. A chart is an axis along the bottom plus one or more series, each a measure over the rows its filter matches. It is validated the way the editor validates a save, and a refusal names the columns the table actually has. The chart is not on any board yet: pass its chart_id to Add Dashboard Tile.
When to use
Section titled “When to use”Use when someone asks to see a number, a trend, a split or a spread from a table — ‘tickets per day by channel’, ‘how many deals are open’.
When not to use
Section titled “When not to use”Not for WHERE things are — use Create Map. Not for listing the rows themselves — use Create Table View. To change an existing chart, use Update Chart.
Inputs
