Read dashboard
Module · Stable
Pull a dashboard’s tiles as data — every chart’s numbers, every table tile’s rows, plus a link to the board.
Reads a dashboard by id or slug and returns what its tiles say: the headline figure of a number tile, the steps of a funnel, the shares of a pie, the labelled points of a bar or line chart — flattened out of the render blob the page draws from, so the numbers arrive as numbers rather than as geometry. A table tile (a saved Table View on the board) comes back as its columns and rows instead, already formatted the way the board shows them. Also returns summary, the whole board as plain text, and url, an absolute link to the live board. Tiles are computed fresh on every call; nothing is cached and nothing is stored.
When to use
Section titled “When to use”Use when something needs to know what a dashboard currently says — a flow emailing a morning digest, a check that reacts when a figure crosses a line, or an agent asked to look at the board and reason about what changed. Pair url with the summary so the reader can go from the numbers to the real thing. To put the tiles in a PDF as pictures, use Snapshot dashboard instead.
When not to use
Section titled “When not to use”To read the rows behind a chart rather than the chart’s own reading, go to the source table with List records — a chart tile gives you its aggregates, and a table tile only the rows the board itself shows. To draw a picture from numbers a flow already holds, use Render chart.
