Snapshot dashboard

Module · Stable

Render every tile of a dashboard to an image and return markdown ready for Render document.

Draws each tile of a dashboard with the app’s own chart renderer, stores the pictures in Memory, and returns markdown that already references them as figures — so it goes straight into Render document’s markdown input and the board reaches a branded PDF through the one PDF renderer the platform has. Also returns url, a link to the live board, for the covering email. A table tile (a saved Table View on the board) enters the report as a table rather than as a picture — it is text, and a picture of text is worse to read. A tile whose chart or view was deleted, has no data, or fails to draw is listed in skipped with the reason rather than quietly leaving a hole in the report.

Use when a dashboard has to leave the screen as a picture — a morning digest, a weekly report, a PDF for someone who will not log in. Compose: Snapshot dashboard → Render document → Send email, attaching the rendered document_id and putting the snapshot’s url in the body.

When something needs the dashboard’s numbers rather than its pictures — a threshold check, or an agent reasoning about what changed — use Read dashboard: it stores nothing. To draw one chart from numbers a flow already holds, with no dashboard involved, use Render chart.

Configured per use: dashboard, heading, include_numbers, height.
