Everything already on a deal: company, people, notes, tasks, documents, link.
Returns what the deal’s page shows, as data: the deal (stage, value, owner, source), its company, the people on the deal with their roles, everyone known to work at the company, notes newest first, tasks open first, documents filed on the deal or found in Memory about it, tags, the workspace’s own deal fields, and the deal’s URL. found is false for an unknown id.
When to use
Section titled “When to use”Read the deal BEFORE writing to it — before adding a note, a task, a person or a document — so you add what is missing rather than a second copy of what is already there. Also the way to answer ‘where is this deal at?’.
When not to use
Section titled “When not to use”To find a deal whose id you do not have, use List Deals or Create Deal (which returns the existing deal instead of making a duplicate). To look up stage, source or role names, use Deal Reference Data.
